All Youth Leader Positions require attendance of at least 2/3 of each event type during his service period AND during the previous 6-months.

Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) - The SPL is elected by the scouts to represent them as the top junior leader in the troop. Reports to Scoutmaster
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) - Second highest-ranking junior leader appointed by the SPL with approval of the Scoutmaster. Acts as SPL in the absence of the SPL and provides leadership to other junior leaders in the troop. Reports to SPL
Troop Quartermaster - Keeps track of troop equipment and sees that it is in good working order. Reports to ASPL
Troop Scribe - Keeps troop records and records duties of the Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) meetings and keeps records of advancement and attendance. Reports to ASPL
Troop Guide - works actively with new scouts. Introduces new scouts to operations and helps them feel comfortable the troop. Reports to ASPL
Instructor - The Instructor teaches scouting skills. Reports to ASPL
Bugler - The Bugler plays the bugle at troop ceremonies. Reports to ASPL
Librarian - The Librarian takes care of troop literature. Reports to ASPL
Historian - Keeps historical record or scrapbook of troop activities. Reports to ASPL
Order of the Arrow (OA) Troop Representative - A youth liaison serving between the local OA Lodge and the troop. Reports to ASPL
Den Chief - The Den Chief works with the Cub Scouts, Webelo Scouts, and Den Leaders in the Cub Scout Pack. Reports to Den Leader and Assistant Scoutmaster for the New Scout patrol in the Troop. Den Chief training is recommended.
Chaplain Aide - The Chaplain Aide works with the Troop Chaplain to meet the religious needs of the scouts in the troop and promotes the religious emblem program. Reports to ASPL and works with Troop Chaplain
Patrol Leader (PL) - The Patrol Leader is elected by the patrol. Reports to SPL
Assistant Patrol Leader (APL) - The APL is appointed by the Patrol Leader and leads the patrol in his absence. Reports to Patrol Leader
Patrol Quartermaster - The Patrol Quartermaster is appointed by the Patrol Leader. He checks out and checks in required equipment from the Troop Quartermaster. He assures that his patrol has required equipment for each event and keeps patrol gear organized and knows who has it. Reports to both the Patrol leader and Troop Quartermaster
Patrol Scribe - the Patrol Scribe is appointed by the Patrol Leader and keeps patrol records. In Troop 223, is asked to submit monthly short article of patrol activities. Reports to the Patrol Leader
