Boy Scout Leadership Responsibilities

Our troop is the most successful when we have dedicated leaders in all of the leadership positions. When all of the scout leaders work together the troop does great things. When one or two leaders do not do their duties then things quickly fall apart. All scouts need some form of leadership in order to fulfill rank advancement requirements. Below is a list of the leadership positions available in the troop. With the exception of the Assistant Patrol Leader all of the positions count towards the leadership advancement requirements. When looking for a leadership position please take a look at the difficulty of the leadership position. Jobs like SPL, Scribe and Quarter Master should only be performed by senior scouts. Jobs such as Historian, Patrol Leader or Librarian can be successfully performed by most scouts.
