Scouting For Food Drive

Every year, Troop 223 conducts a food drive to benefit the Summit County Emergency Assistance Center.

In August of 2015 alone, The Emergency Assistance Center fulfilled requests for help from 788 people made up of 268 households including 269 children and 146 senior citizens. In 2014 the center served requests  for help from 9,431 people. Many of these families may be our own friends and neighbors. This food drive is a very important way that our troop gives back to the community that supports us.




2015 Annual Food Drive

On Sunday, November 1, 2015 Troop 223 collected over 800 items of food for the

On Sunday, September 7, 2014 the Scouts of Twinsburg Boy Scout Troop 223 Collected over 500 items of non-perishable food and hygiene supplies for the Emergency Assistance Center serving Summit County. The center currently serves hundreds of families in this area and their requests for help are constantly increasing. The center is grateful for the service work provided by Troop 223 and the troop is proud to be able to give back to the community.

On Saturday, August 10, 2013 the Twinsburg Boy Scout Troop 223 Collected over 900 items of non-perishable food and assorted hygiene supplies for the Emergency Assistance Center serving Summit County. The center currently serves hundreds of families in this area and their requests for help are increasing every month. The center is very grateful for the service work provided by Troop 223 and the troop is proud to be able to help out.

 The 2012 Annual Scouting For Food Drive

On Saturday, August 25, 2012 the Twinsburg Boy Scout Troop 223 Collected 400 pounds of non-perishable food for the Emergency Assistance Center serving Summit County. The center currently serves over 42 families and has had 32 requests by families in need of help just this month in addition to the families they already serve. The center was very grateful for the service work provided by Troop 223.
